Small Towns Big Ideas

Small Town Transformations is a state-wide program managed by Regional Arts Victoria on behalf of the Victorian Government, through which $350,000 is available for creative, transformative projects in six small towns with populations fewer than 2,000 people. That is $350,000 for each of the six selected towns.

Regional Arts Victoria is currently conducting Information Sessions across the state from November, with the Gippsland sessions being held next week in: Mallacoota, Orbost, Swifts Creek, Bairnsdale, Morwell and Leongatha. A flier with details is attached. There is no need to wait for the Information Sessions before starting an application. I would encourage communities to start talking now, and continue the conversation during the info sessions.

Expressions of interest are open until 29 February 2016. Shortlisted applicants will then be asked to submit an official application, with successful projects commencing August 2016 and ending October 2018.

Destination Gippsland encourages eligible Gippsland Towns to submit an application.
