Regional Events Fund

Expressions of Interest are open for Visit Victoria’s $20 million Regional Events Fund. The fund is designed to support the attraction, development, marketing and growth of events in regional Victoria. The Regional Events Fund will generally allocate funding to:

  • assist with the costs associated with securing, hosting and marketing new events
  • implementation of innovative strategies to increase visitation to existing events, including event development and tourism marketing.
    Applicants are invited to submit an Expression of Interest prior to the submission of a full funding application.

Regional Skills Fund

The Regional Skills Fund is a targeted, place-based regional skills grants program driven by industry in partnership with the tertiary sector, working to build local capacity, resilience and support jobs creation.

The program stream aims to support regional industry and business skills and capability to ensure the long-term sustainability of employment and business growth.

The fund has been designed to align with and complement the Victorian Government’s education and training reforms as well as initiatives that seek to support innovation, skills and workforce development, including the Jobs Victoria Employment Network program and the Future Industries Sector Strategies

Building Better Regions Fund

  • The $297.7 million Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF) supports the Australian Government’s commitment to create jobs, drive economic growth and build stronger regional communities into the future.

The Regional Arts Fund

The Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund program supports sustainable cultural development in regional and remote Australia. The Regional Arts Fund is managed in Victoria by Regional Arts Victoria and is delivered in two main categories, Community Grants and Quick Response Grants.

  • Community Grants
    Community Grants of up to $15,000 are available for projects that involve regional artists, have a public outcome and significantly engage the community in which the project is based. Community Grants are available in two rounds per year.
  • Quick Response Grants
    Quick Response grants of up to $1500 for individuals and $3,000 for organisations are available throughout the year.

This program offers events the opportunity to access assistance for development or marketing of events.
